First issuance on the basis of a French Pilote License

If you hold a TT or a PP license (former French National licenses), you have to contact the DGAC to get instructions to have it renewed and converted.

If you hold a JAR-FCL license (eg : F-LPA00123456), then you will also need to contact the DGAC to have it converted into a PART-FCL license (eg : FRA.FCL.PA00123456).

If you already hold a Part-FCL License, then you will find the detailed process on this page:
Information provided on the DGAC website.

During this process, the FAA will contact the DGAC to verify the authenticity of your license. Since June 2016, this processus was simplified through the SIGEBEL server. This requires that you connect on your personal SIGEBEL access to authorize the FAA to access your data.

Below is the page on the FAA website describing the whole validation process:
Verify the Authenticity of a Foreign License, Rating, and Medical Certification.
