FAA Pilot Certificate first issuance

    You license has to be a PPL, CPL or ATPL at an ICAO level. During this process, you will send a copy of your data and license to the FAA. Then the FAA will contact the authority of your country of issuance to verify the authenticity of your license. Last step, they will send you a verification letter.

    Once you receive the verification letter, you will need to get an appointment at a FSDO (or if available, with a designated FAA representative outside US) in order to have you FAA Certificate issued.
