MEP(land) class rating
[ MORE INFO ]
The MEP(Land) class rating will allow you to fly multiengine piston airplanes.
✈ Content of the training
Your actual training duration will depend upon your progress and your prior experience.
It cannot be less than the legal requirement of 6 hours, including: - 3.5 hrs minimum of dual training on engine-out operations,
- and at least 2.5 hrs in normal flight conditions on a multiengine airplane.
Alternating with in-flight sessions, you will have theoretical courses and briefings on asymmetric flight and its particularities.
Then, the flight test will take place with an EASA approved flight examiner.
This training is quite short but intense. On average, it is completed in 4 days, with a flight test planned on the 5th day.
But this can be adjusted to your needs.
✈ Where, when, and on which plane?
Our ATO is approved for the EASA MEP on Diamond DA42, Diamond DA62 and Piper PA34 Seneca.
On your request, we can train you on your own airplane (temporarily added in our fleet for your course), or on a partner airplane.
For the training site, we can teach you on one of our bases (Cannes, Avignon) or on your request, we can open a temporary ATO base at your homebase.
✈ MEP skill test passed ! What's next ?
Your Multiengine class rating will be valid for 1 year, and revalidated by a flight test within 3 months prior to its expiry.
If you are instrument rated on single engine airplane, we can also assist you to extend your privileges towards a multiengine instrument rating.
